…Graduands to do NYSC program

It was all jubilation galore at the Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, KOMU,Ogboko in Ideato South Local Government Area, Imo State as the National University Commission,NUC, gave a 100% score to the University on her maiden Accreditation exercise that took place in January this year.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ikechukwu Nosike Dozie made the revelation on Monday in a Press release after officially receiving a letter from the Director of Accreditation, NUC, Dr. Maryann Sali.
The letter with reference No: NUC/ES/412/VOL.14/43, dated April 14, 2022 was presented to the VC, stated that the “institution obtained full Accreditation in Accounting, Business Administration, English and Literary Studies, History and International Relations, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Political Science, Psychology and Interim Accreditation in Computer Science, Economic and Sociology, stressing that the validity period for full accreditation is five years, while that of Interim Accreditation is two years.
Expressing great joy, the VC thanked the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for being there for the institution, especially in ensuring that the Citadel of learning scaled through at the maiden NUC academic exercise.
He affirmed that the university has indeed recorded huge success in the accreditation process.
Prof.Dozie reiterated that the school is highly elated that the Governor assisted her in achieving the historic milestone, extolling the host communities as well for their solidarity during the NUC accreditation exercise.
The VC also expressed happiness that the final year students of the university would, on graduation in few months, be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps,NYSC Programme.
He pledged that the management of the institution would remain focused and committed in her drive to reposition the school for global competitiveness in order to attain world class status in a few time to promote social and economic advancement of Imo State.
